Special director election in District 1

Grand Rapids, MN – Lake Country Power’s Board of Directors will let members decide on a replacement for the open District 1 board seat. The seat, held by Dale Long until his death in January, will remain vacant while the co-op holds a special election in District 1 this year. Members will be able to vote online or by mail before the co-op’s annual meeting Wednesday, April 19.
The election for the District 1 seat will be held in conjunction with LCP’s 2017 election process, which is already underway. Nomination packets are available at co-op service centers in Mountain Iron, Grand Rapids and Kettle River.
Any members interested in running for the District 1 seat must return election forms to the cooperative’s headquarters office at 2810 Elida Drive, Grand Rapids, MN 55744 on or before the nomination deadline date, Wednesday, February 8, 2017 prior to the close of business – 4:30 p.m. – to be considered a candidate in the 2017 election.
