Electrical Lineworker

Lake Country Power is a Touchstone Energy® electric distribution cooperative with 43,000 members in northeastern Minnesota. We currently have a position opening for an electrical lineworker in our Cohasset service center.

Lineworkers are responsible for the construction, operation, and maintenance of the cooperative’s electrical distribution infrastructure. This position works 10 hours a day, four days a week, and focuses on the construction of rebuilding electrical distribution lines.

Qualified individuals must be a graduate of an accredited lineworker program and must meet one of the following requirements:

  • Journeyman Lineworker Candidates must have completed an approved apprenticeship program and hold a valid journeyman lineworker certificate and a valid class A CDL.
  • Apprentice Lineworker candidates must be in the second year (or higher) of their apprenticeship program and must be able to attain a Class A CDL within the first 90 days of employment.

The hourly journeyman rate is $52.22/hr. The hourly apprentice wage range is $38.12/hr - $47.52/hr depending on apprenticeship level. Lake Country Power’s benefit package includes

Warehouse/Inventory Control

Lake Country Power is a Touchstone Energy® Cooperative serving 43,000 members in northern Minnesota. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to fill a sole warehouse position in our Cohasset service center.

Warehouse responsibilities include:

  • Receiving and properly storing line materials, tools, and safety equipment
  • Distributing material, tools, and safety equipment to employees and members (as needed)
  • Maintains an orderly inventory and storage of oil-filled equipment, substation-related and other special equipment
  • Provides facility maintenance assistance as needed
  • Monitors supply levels and reports anticipated needs to manager
  • Provides and maintains accurate accounting records for proper inventory management at the service center and outposts

Required qualifications and skills include:

  • Qualified candidates must have a high school diploma or GED
  • Class A CDL (within the first 6 months of employment)
  • Computer proficiency
  • Forklift (or similar equipment) experience
  • Exceptional organizational and customer service skills
  • Preferred candidates will have basic knowledge of electric distribution materials, inventory experience and post-secondary education.

The starting wage range is $27.93 - $33.14/hr depending on experience. Lake Country Power’s benefit package includes
