Electrician/Member Service Technician

Lake Country Power is a Touchstone Energy® electrical distribution cooperative with 44,000 members in northeastern Minnesota. We have an excellent opportunity for a member service technician (electrician) in our Mountain Iron service center.

Member service technicians provide outstanding service, sales, technical expertise and education to Lake Country Power members and contractors regarding the cooperative’s Energy Wise® programs as well as working with members to conduct energy audits, heat loss calculations and resolving high bill concerns. Technicians also support the cooperative’s metering, advanced metering infrastructure (AMI), and SCADA systems.

Required qualifications include:

  • Must be a graduate of a certified electrician’s program.
  • Must have a State of Minnesota Class A Electrician’s license (master or journeyman level) as required by the State of Minnesota.
  • A valid Minnesota Class D driver’s license is required.
  • Must have excellent, demonstrated customer service and communication skills.
  • Must be proficient working on a computer and iPad.

The starting wage range is $40.36 - $57.65/hr depending on experience. Lake Country Power’s benefit package includes

Seasonal Student Facility Maintenance Worker

Lake Country Power is an electrical distribution cooperative with 43,000 services in northeastern Minnesota. We currently have one temporary opening for a seasonal/summer facility maintenance worker at our Kettle River service center.

Primary duties include lawn maintenance at Lake Country Power's service centers, outposts, and substations. This position will require the student to report to their service center location and transport lawn maintenance equipment to outposts (Saginaw and McGregor) and to various substations located throughout our service territory.

Qualified applicants must be 18 years of age or older and enrolled in a post-secondary education program. Additional qualifications include a valid Class D MN Driver's License and experience operating and transporting lawn equipment. Successful candidates must pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.

Hours are Monday through Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm (maximum of 480 total hours.) Wages are $18/hours.
